 Give Him the Ball!

'Lot a so-called artists but precious 2 few Heart-ists.

Seems everybody's all up 'n into rhyming these days.

It's easy, enjoyable, entertaining — 'n it looks lucrative.

While these might be good motivators 4 the secular side,

the spiritual calls 4 somethin' more. You can't squash that.

Rap's tiring — reduced 2 a game of blowing up on Billboard.

Meantime, the world waits 4 a word — that only God can give.

So U wonder does the world really need Christian rappers?

Yes it does.  But with this one very important qualification:

That they be first of all men 'n women after God's own heart;

before they go after being before crowds & hitting studios.

To repeat: Do we really need more Christian rappers???

Yes, we do.  But they are, sad to say, a very rare breed.

'Lot a so-called artists but precious 2 few Heart-ists...

 Give Him the Ball!

Portrait of a Heart-ist as a Young Man

King David never made a CD, but the stuff K. D. dropped's long-lasting see Psalms.

So how'd he do that?  While still a young buhl, Lil' Dave signed wit' the LORD's Crew:

God's fam on Divine record who adopt the signature label, HIS — an' live accordingly.

Son got mad props from the LORD God Who tagged him, "a man after My own heart."

Lil' Dave found himself the object of Divine favor 'n the LORD God took care of all his

on-stage battles, includin' the memorable showdown he had facing off with Heavy G.

G. was droppin' ev'ry diss that he could possibly imagine on the Lord an' His people,

carryin' on for 40 days and nights.  God's people were afraid to step onto the stage 'n

take him on.  Dude was big and he was bad — he ragged an' dogged 'em on the mic.

Lil' D. arrived at the spot, not expectin' to step in 2 somethin' —  'til he heard Heavy's

spill against the LORD.  L.D. got heated — started mixin' it up with G. an' Rocked him.

Heavy got dropped in the Name of the LORD, 'n as he lost it, his crew tore off runnin'.

 Give Him the Ball!

You'll never have to worry about comin' up short when you put the LORD's stuff first.

 Give Him the Ball!

Son had a

for the LORD God.

L.D. honored Him an'

the LORD reciprocated.

Big time.

 Give Him the Ball!

SO.

Artist or Heart-ist?  Which one goes first for you?

Won't lie.  The Heart-ist has the harder way to go.

But remember Who's going wit' U along that way.

There's no stoppin' you if He's up in your corner.

AMAGOH & AWAGOH know that 'n see Him work.
