Feared by most—perhaps even more so than God Himself?
Maybe that's why violence proliferates throughout the land.

has power to throw you into hell.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

Gearing up: more young brothers are getting serious about the Lord,
finding out God's Word is greater than any weapon man may have,
and fed up with people playing church, trying to play God as well.

For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God;
and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be
for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"
1 Peter 4:17-18

Scene differently

Even if it's rated "Triple A" at the top — test it anyway!

Test everything.  Hold on to the good.  Avoid every kind of evil.
May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.
 May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.

Filmmakers set up a scene on Paterson, NJ's Governor St., 1990

A behind-the-scenes view of a location set used in the 1991 film "Billy Bathgate."
 It's about a protégé of gangster Dutch Shultz (Dustin Hoffman) during the 1920-30's.
Set up near the lower end of Governor Street in Paterson, NJ, what makes this location
so intriguing is that while Hollywood busily recreates a 30's gangster scene here, no more
than 1 - 2 blocks up the street (just past that bright white church building slightly to the left of
the picture's center) are modern-day "gangstas" carrying out their business on one of the city's
more notorious drug corners. Two different (yet curiously related) realities, hoping for customers.
