Look, O LORD, and consider, for I am despised.
Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by?

Please pray for the young Black brothers in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The sound heard crackling over a police radio is that of a single gunshot that
tore into the left side of Tim Thomas' chest, early Saturday a.m.,  April 7, 2001.
Son was the 4th YUBM killed by police in Cincinnati, OH since November 2000.
He was unarmed but the officer said he feared for his life.  Tim Thomas lost his.

Justice

Ya feel that?  Young brothers got legitimate concerns for their safety 'n status —
not only in Cincinnati, but all across this nation.  Understandably 'n justifiably angry.

Q: Who's really listening to them?

Marchers in Cincinnati, OH - What do you see in this television image?
-
A gang of no-good trouble-makers, hoodlums 'n vandals - A mob of angry & defiant protesters finding their voice
- Brothers with hands up, showing themselves unarmed
- Brothers signaling surrender saying, "Don't shoot us!"
- A street celebration that their situation is finally getting
some attention and maybe even some amelioration
- Can you envision these very same hands raised one day
in praise, worship and thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus
for how He brought them thru some incredible stuff 'n
some seemingly insurmountable odds — to Himself ?
- Is it all that unreasonable to trust the Lord for a revival
. . . starting it up with young brothers such as
these ?

Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?"
Let the light of Your face shine upon us, O LORD.

Psalm 4:6 NIV

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution
or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written: "For Your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through Him who loved us.

Romans 8:35-37 NIV

Born Black
A Sovereign God's Loving — Creative
Purposeful — Bold — and Joyous Call
Caution: Human's Response May Vary.

On September 26, 2001, the 27-year-old officer was acquitted by a judge
on negligent homicide and obstructing official business charges.

“What is going to keep them cops from coming after me?”
said a 23-year-old calling himself "Mr. Jones."
His eyes were angry and sad at the same time.
"What do they expect a young black man like me to do when the police is coming?"

"Now, we all got the message loud and clear —
you can shoot us, you can kill us, and won't nobody do a thing about it."

If you preach the Gospel in all aspects
with the exception of the issues
which deal specifically with your time,
you are not preaching the Gospel at all.

 Martin Luther

No man has believed perfectly
until he wishes for his brother
what he wishes for himself.

Malcolm X

Our Lord trusted no man; yet He was never suspicious, never bitter, never in despair about any man,
because He put God first in trust; He trusted absolutely in what God's grace could do for any man.
If I put my trust in human beings first, I will end up despairing of everyone; I will become bitter,
because I have insisted on man being what no man can ever be -- absolutely right.
Never trust anything but the grace of God in yourself or in anyone else.

Oswald Chambers
